(Received August 24, at 5.5 p.m.) At Chestnut llills the Kinsey brothers won tho national doubles, beating Patterson and Wood 7—5, 5—7, 7—9, 6—3, 64. —Reuter. . In tiie first set Wood and Robert Kinsey each lost their service. The Australians stood within a point of winning the set on the tenth game when Robert Kinsey pulled out his service from 1 3, and Patterson losing his service in the eleventh game, the Americans won the setin the second set the Australians became extremely inaccurate, but rallied, and breaking through Robert Kinsey s service twice, they won the set. In tlie third set Wood and Robert Kinsey alternated the loss of service, but Patterson dropped the eleventh crucial game, being disturbed by a .moving picture camera, whirring. The score was even to six all, when Robert Kinsey again lost his service and the Australians won the set upon his further loss of service. In the fourth set the Australians were now playing in accordance with their recognisable form. They quickly marshalled a three-love lead, hut Wood's work again became patchy, and he lost bis service in the fifth game, outing all returns. Patterson did the same in the seventh, and the Kinseys led> The Australians now seemed strangely weak, and the Kin seys were playing steadily. Wood again lost the service and the Americans won the set. In the fifth set the Kinseys, playing carefully and accurately, forced the Australians into errors. Wood lost the service in the second game, Robert Kinsey in the third, and Wood in tho sixth, and Howard Kinsey in the seventh.
