ITS ABOLITION PROPOSED. SOCIALIST MINISTRY TAKES ACTION. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. COPENHAGEN, August 22. The plans submitted by the Minister ot Defence for tho abolition of the Danish navy have been approved by the Government, and a Rill for that purpose will be presented to Parliament. It is proposed to convert eight small vessels into a police guard and fishing inspection ships. Twelve hydroplanes will be retained for civil duties. The whole naval personnel will be disbanded, with tho exception of 4ho required to man the converted vessels. The Danish’ Ministry is Socialistic, occupying a minority position in Parliament, similar to that held by Mr MacDonald’s Ministry in Britain.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
