(Received August 22, at 8, p.m.) Trials have been successfully carried out of the torpedo-plane Cubaroo, which is reputed to be the deadliest fighting plane in the world. It carries a pilot, two observers, a torpedo weighing 10001 b, and a large quantity of bombs, and has a speed of 130 miles an hour. It is intended for coast defence purposes.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
