WELLINGTON, August 12: An application for a new award for the Electrical Workers in the Wellington district came before the Arbitration Court Regarding wages, it was stated that the court at Christchurch had fixed the minimum pay for a journeyman at 2b 2d per hour and a week of 44 hours. Mr Grenfell, for the employers, said he was prepared to accept the new. dpnditions of the Christchurch award. , As to the wages for the Wellington district regarding apprenticeship, the court inmoated that it was in favour of toe five years’ term. Mr Grenfell stated that there was almost a complete agreement between the parties on the question of apprenticeship.
