M’l’ierman, gave notice of his intention to move tnat the action of the Government in praseoutin,r union officials in connection with the Port Lyttelton hold-up is deserving of censure. The matter will come before the House on Thursday. QUEENSLAND SUGAR FOR BRITAIN. SYDNEY, July 31. Arrangements have been made to ship 30 OCO tons of Queensland’s sugar crop to Groat Britain. This will dispose of more than half the estimated surplus. BLAZE IN MELBOURNE. MELBOURNE, July 31. Damage estimated at £15,000 has been caused by fire, which broke out in a building occupied by Mr A. Koaminsky, at the corner of King and Bourke streets. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN POLITICS. BRISBANE, July 31. (Received July 31, at 10.20 p.m.) In the Assembly the Leader of the Opposition moved a motion of no-confidence in the Government on account of its financial policy. The motion is expected to be easily defeated.
