The weekly meeting of cthe executive of the Otago Football Association wag held last night. Mr IF J. Duncan (president) occupied the chair. Mr min! (Waikouaiti) wrote with reference to Cox’s name being placed on the caution list. Ho slated that a Southern player was responsible for most of the trouble, and indulged in a free criticism of the referee’s capabilities.—lt was decided that the letter should lie on the table. Mr L. fi. Abernethy wrote with reference to the match High School Old Boys v. Northern, played on the Oval last Saturday. Ho stated that one pf the Old Boys’ team was deliberal ely kicked by one cf the Northern players, Tim writer had brought the matter under the notice of the rctoree at half-time, but the latter stated that he had not seen the incident.— It was decided that no action could be taken, Mr Abernethy was not ap official of the association.

The Secretary of the Port. Convent Club wrote stating that.the Y'.M.C.A. Spurs had defaulted to the Port; Fifth Grade team on Saturday and asking if it could bo arranged that notification should be given if any club intended to default., The writer also asked if it could be arranged that the Pprt Fourth Grade team should pjay some matches on the Oval.—Referred to the Match CommitteeMr R. Adair wrote asking for permission to withdraw the Y.M.G.A. Fifth Grade team (Spurs). A number of reasons had militated against the team’s progress, not me least being inadequate supervision and coaching.—Agreed to. Letters were received from the Northern and Taieri Clubs with reference to a proposal to hold a benefit match for injured players.—lt was decidexd to defer consideration for a week.
