Instructed by W. Van Ashe, Esq. Craggy Range, Hawke’s Bay, 7S7STRIGHT, STEPHENSON, & CO. 17 (LTD.), in conjunction with Murray, Roberts, & co. (ltd.), will disperse the Craggy Range Stud ua above. This stud was established by the purchase outright of the late G. P. Donnelly’s famous stud. Iho stud was established in 1903, when the late Mr Donnelly acquired from His Majesty the King the Champion and the Reserve Champion Rams at the English Royal Show, together with 12 selected ewes from the same flock. Later importations on a big scale were again made from the Sandringham stud, and also from Messrs J. & W. Langmead, and in 1915, from Sir J. Coleman, of the Reserve Champion Ram at the English Royal Show. In 1921, by purchase, Mr Van Asho also divided the ’complete Mangatewui stud of F. A. Price, Esq., with Major Taverner, See history of Flock No. 70, which shows that this stud originated from direct descendants of imported sheep, and the noted imported ram, Guildford, the best of his day, and whose blood wa-s availed of in the best flocks in Now Zealand, including that of Mr Donnelly. , , , The Cnggy Range Flock has been entirely grass fed, and' the Auctioneers recommend tliis stud wth every confidence to prospective buyers, as being typical in every respect of the best of the breed.
