Paape, who, before he left ott a holiday tour to Australia- and the East, was appointed an honorary travelling con* missioner of the- New Zealand and- South,.o Seas Exhibition, returned to New in the Moeraki to-day. He has been tnaveiling for three months, during which time ho visited Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Sydney, Brisbane, Townsv iile, Thursday Island, Port Darwiii, Java, ancl Singapore. Everywhere he went, • Mr Paape, who is well known as an energetic organiser, did all he could to interest people in the big Exhibition which is to be opened in Dunedin in 1825.
