ROSLYN BOWLING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Roolyu Bowling Club was bold last night, Mr J. Robertson presiding over a largo attendance of members The President said that he was pleased to see the interest that had been displayed by the. members of the club and also tbo way in which the games had been got off.' Tile annual report was read and carried on the motion of -Mr Robertson, seconded by Mr Hamway. The Secretary of the Social Club repotted that it had had a very successful year, and Hie report was adopted. The election of officers resulted as folio,,..,:—President, Mr Aicock; vice-presi-dents, Messrs M‘Dougall and Harm way; secretary, Mr Worthington; green supervisors -Messrs Dixon. Simpson, and Cameron; scrutineers, Messrs Nicholson and Bridgemati; committee—-Messrs Harper, Heycock, James, Ml‘Lean. and Wood, delegates to centre, Messrs Hurra way ami Wilkinson : Social Committee representative, Mr M‘bo«g.’»ll: Sole selector, Mr Campbell. Throe mfw members were elected.

Mr F. J. Campbell, vice-president of the Dunedin Centre, in presenting My I>. (.lampbell. «chanipion of champions, with a framed ceri'ilirate. said that tile recipient was well known throughout: Otago as a very consistent player, and Mr Campbell's play in (he last competition had been exceptionally line. Mr Campbell was also presented with a clock by the Koslyn Chib. The (pieplion of the number of rinks which the club should play was, after considerable discussion, left in the hands of the committee. T was decided to enter the four-rink championship under any conditions, but if a mol ion were, fo come before the venire that the championships be not played the club's delegates would support it. ]( was decided ,to continue (be club games as last season with (bo addition of feather rinks competition. .. ]|, was decided that the definition ol a colt be a player who has played for from one to throe years whether he bad won the junior cup or not. Mr J. Timson was elected a life member amid loud applause. The club decided to have nothing to do with tho recommendation that a man be appointed to advise, greenkeepers. Tito meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman and the retiring- officebearers.
