N.Z. AND SOUTH SEAS EXHIBITION.
The weekly meeting of the directors of tlie New Zealand and South Reas Exhibition , Company, held last evening, was attended by Air J. Sutherland Ross (chairman). C. Todd, P. L. Halsted, W. R. Hayward. A. Barnett, H. L.. Tnnlny, P. Barr, 11. F. Sineock, and C. Speight. A report was received of the recent Industrial Conference at Auckland, and the hearty thanks of the directors was accorded to their representative, Mr T. Somerville, for the very able and effective manner in which he had represented them. A deputation consisting of Messrs J. Wallace, J. C. Stephens, and G. W. Carrington waited on the directors from the Education Committee to place various matters before them and to seek advice on certain points. The deputation was hoard in committee. Air TT. IT. Leary was appointed as official canvasser for the company. After a treat deal of detail business had been considered the niertirij adjourned to continue at 4.30 p.m. on Monday next.
