Ammon (Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty) said lie was aware that the plant which load been collected for 'tire Singapore base had been ottered for sale, Tho contingency of the scheme having to be proceeded with in certain events had not been overlooked, and no offers would bo accepted which would be likely to involve tne State in a loss.
