NORTH ISLAND SHEEPOWNERS.

; ANNUAL MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. (Pee United Phess Association.) WELLINGTON, June 18. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Sheepbreeders’ Association of the North Island was held this morning. Mr S. R. Lancaster was re-elected president. Tins other officers elected were Mr H. B. Stuckey; three members of the council —Messrs H. J. Dagg, C. E. Vile, and W. O. Knight; delegate to the Agricultural Conference, Mr C. E. Vile. The annual report stated that the outstanding feature of the work of the oast year was the large number of new flocks registered, totalling 61 during the year, and the large importation ot stud sheet* from Great Britain. The position for the sheep farmers was generally considered extremely bright. A meeting of the council allotted medals as follow: —Champion Southdown ram, Wairarapa; two-tooth Southdown ram. Masterton, Feilding, Manawatu, Wanganui; Marion and district, Hawke’s Bay, and Cambridge Associations; Shropshire ram. Marten and district; English Leicester ram, Auckland; Border Leicester, Wanganui. Sixty new members were elected.
