SOUTH DUNEDIN LICENSING
ADJOURNED ANNUAL MEETING. Tho adjourned annual meeting of the South Dunedin Licensing Committee was hold yesterday. Those present were. Messrs J. R. Bartholomew. S.M. (chairman), A. F. Queleh, A. Campbell, T. Leyland, and R. Conn. Tho applications for the renewals of tho licenses of M. Quirk (Ocean Beach Hotel), Henry M. Allan (St. Kilda Hotel), Catherine Walsh (Bay View Road Hotel), Irvine Kayo (Fiizroy Hotel), and William Hargreaves (Ocean View Hotel) had been hold"over at the annual meeting in order to obtain reports on the fire escape facilities. These* sverc submitted at yesterday’s meeting. The committee decided to grant renewals of license to all the applicants, except in the case of the Ocean View Hotel, where it was recommended that an iron balcony should bo constructed to connect, with the stone one. Mr A. C. Stephens, who appeared for tho landlord of the Ocean View Hotel, said that, the work would be carried out immediately- The chairman said that on this condition, a renewal of the license would be granted.
