DOMESTIC SERVANT'S DEATH. (Per United Press Association.) v WELLINGTON, June 17. The dead body of Evelyn Ihompson, a young domestic servant employed at Hataitai, was found by a visitor to the residence. Her employers were away at the time and the visitor, looking through the kitchen window, saw deceased lying on the floor near an open gas stove. The visitor summoned aid, and an entry was effected, but the servant was found to be dead. POWER BOARD WORKERS INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Juno 17. As the result of an accident while unloading transmission poles at Ashhurst for the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board, J. Proctor lies in hospital in a dangerous condition with severe injuries to the head.
