A CONFIDENT CLAIMANT. AGED LONDON TAILOR. Prsss Association—By Telegraph-Copyright LONDON, June IV. (Received June 17, at 7.5 p.m.) The Daily Chronicle states that a romantic claim to the Angell-Benedic estate in South London valued at £60,000,000 is being made on behalf of VTilham Allery, an 80-year-old tailor. Allery’s agent states that he has obtained the highest legal opinion in support of his chum. A fund of £SOOO is being raised to defray the costs of the application. The subscribers aio promised a return of 1000 per cent on their contributions in the event of the claim being successful. —A. and N.Z. Cable. The above message no doubt refers to the same estate to which a claimant was recently discovered m Auckland in tho person of Miss Garvey. Cold water was. however, thrown on Miss Garvey’s claim by her father, who lives at Waikaia.
