FORCED TO DISGORGE
MAN SWALLOWS SUSPECTED CHEQUE. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, Juno 16. (Received Juno 16, at 8 p.m.) During the busy banking hours on Saturday a man presented a cheque at a Sydney hank. A question was raised regarding the signature, and the man snatched the cheque from the bankers hand, rolled it into a ball, and swallowed it. The police were summoned, and a strong emetic was administered to the man, who was detained.
