NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN
EXPLANATION BY STATE TREASURER. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, June 16. The State Treasurer (Sir Arthur Cocks) attributes the fact that 85 per cent, of the New South Wales loan was left with the underwriters to political changes in Europe. Fie says it docs not carry the slightest reflection on the stability of the State. He also states that by comparison with the recent Queensland loan, the New South Wales is paying between £60,000 and £70,000 per annum less in interest-.
