MOSGIEL COURT.
Fiiidat, Jpxk 13. 1924. (Before Mr Bartholomew, S.M.) Tho Department of Agriculture, through it.s inspector (Mr R. Fountain) proceeded against James Armitage for failing to keep down noxious weeds on his property at Brighton. A fine of 10s and costs was imposed. For a similar offence Janies Scurr was also fined 10s and costa. Martha M'Clusky claimed possession of a house at Allanlon and one year s rent from W. Little. —After evidence had been heard, judgment was given for £l4 8s 9d and costs, and possession of the house on or before June 27. Judgment was given by default in the. following civil cases: —11. Swallow v. James Dunnett, £23 18s Id (snd costs); R. Harrison v. W. Aiulerton, £6O 2s Id (and costa); J. M‘Dons.ld v. Jamen Dee, £6 3s 6d (and costs); Mrs A. Millar v. Joseph Henry, £5 15s Id (ami costs); Mrs A. Paine v. E. G. Coogor, £3 2s 6d (and costs).
