DUNEDIN GARDENING CLUB.

Tho Dunedin Gardening Club met on Thursday evening, when, in spite of the very wintry night, there was a good attendance of members to hear the Hon. G. M. Thomson’s address on “ Pollinisation and Hybridisation.” Mr F. H. Hollingworth occupied tho chair. The lecturer dealt with the subject in a clear and practicable way, showing much thought and research. At the conclusion of tho address, after answering a number of questions, he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks, on the motion of Mr H. T. Trevena, who said that, it was a great pity we did not get more scientific lectures of this sort. There wore on exhibition a line chrysanthemum plant grown by Mr J. Roy and some apples and pears grown by Mrs C. Campbell.
