EAST TAIERI CHURCH.
Though wintry weather prevailed, the attendance at tho annual sale of work of the East Taieri Guild on Thursday afternoon and evening was very satisfactory. Tho Indies of this guild are noted for the line typo of goods on sale on such occasions, and the display of 1924 was equal, if not superior, to any previous effort. Tho goods, both plain and fancy, were neatly arranged on stalls, and in addition, tea rooms, produce stall, etc., provided ample scope for the patrons to make a purchase. The results were very satisfactory, and a very deserving vote of thanks was passed, on the motion of the Rev. D. M'Cosh, to tho ladies who had done so'much in the interests of their guild.
