CURATE SELLING FISH
“STARVATION STIPEND.” LONDON, May 30. The Rev. Macluliclv, a young curate, who recently resigned his curacy at bandbach., because of the starvation stipend, has now hired a Ford motor-lorry. He rises in tho early iiours of the morning, purchases fislv in the Manchester market, and hawks it profitably in the Sandbach streets He says that his change, of occuw.tion, besides enabling him to live decently, has shown who are the real men and women in contrast with the hypocrites who respected him only because lie wore clerical clothes.
