THE NEW ZEALAND SCHEME MR HUNTER’S WORK EULOGISED. (FbOV OUB OWK COBBESFONDKNT.) WELLINGTON, June 12, Dr Sydney Barwise, M.D., B.Sc., county medical officer in Derby, has written the following letter to Mr T. Hunter, of .the New Zealand Dental Hygiene Department: “Let mo thank you for the excellent material which you have sent me for the education of the people of England. Your scheme is' an infinitely better one than the one the Ministry of Health won’t let let us carry out. Perhaps tho rebuff we have nad will in the long run be an advantage to future generations. lam sure it will if legislation is introduced into this country enabling a similar scheme to the New Zealand scheme to be carried out here. I shall be greatly obliged if from time to time you will send me copies of any printed reports you have relating to your work so that I can got them published in this country. lam so glad that this scheme of dental nurses with two years’ training comes from a British colony instead of from the U.S.A. lam only sorry that you are not showing the whole of the British Empire what you are doing in Now' Zealand by having a stall at Wembley with your dental nurses there, demonstrating what really is tho common sence way of tacklinpf this vast problem.
