Pr«s» Association—By Telegraph—Copyright TOKIO, Mr Shidehara, Minister of Foreign Affairs (who was formerly Ambassador at Washington), admits that difficult problems confront the new Cabinet. Problems more difficult, perhaps, were coming, but the policy was not to be Machiavellian and not aggressive, but along the path of justice and peace. They were not afraid of seeking to realise the empire’s mission by observing the lofty spirit revealed in the Washington and Versailles Treaties. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
