Cambridge University in their second innings made 197 (White not out 53). Carter took five wickets for 64 and Nupen three for 42. Soutli Africa woo by 126 runs. A feature of the South African’s play was Carter’s bowling. He took four wickets with 18 balls. Cambridge haa nine wickets down for 92 when White and Bagnall made a splendid ninth-wicket stand, adding 67 runs in 38 minutes.—A. and N.Z. Came. YORKSHIRE FAILS AGAINST LANCASHIRE. . .' ' ■ LONDON, June 10. Yorkshire in their second innings made 35 (Parkin three wickets for 15, arid Tyldesloy six wickets for 18). Lancashire thus won a great victory by 24 runs. Yorkshire’s only other lower totals have been 26 • against Surrey at the Oval in! 1909, and 32 against Notts in IS76.—A. and N.Z. Cable. Yorkshire in their first innings mads 130, and Lancashire 74.
