ARMED MAN ON A TRAIN.
An exciting scene in Newton Abbot Station was described to the local bench recently, when Leicester Duimis, IS, of Paddington, was charged with travelling from Penzance without a ticket. Warned by another passenger that Dunnis had a dagger, it was stated that railway officials ordered him to leave the train. While he was being questioned in the inspectors’ office ho made a suspicuous movement, and the officials closed with him. Dnnnis was overpowered after a struggle lasting 15 minutes, and it, took four men to lake him lo the police station. Dunn is, the witness added, said he would have used his dagger on them if he had not been overpowered.
