NEW ZEALANDERS AT EDINBURGH. 'From Ou.r Own* CoRRKSPONnr.xT.I LONDON, May ft. Two Now Zealand freshmen at, Edinburgh University are Messrs L. Gibbs (son of Dr rt. Gibbs, Wellington) and R. Hetherinpfon Cniaiiies). Both are old boys of Waltaki High Sebool. and have bad one year al Otitg'o Medical School. At, present they are not finite certain of what their term’s work will consist, as the authorities have not vet told (hem how much of their New Zealand work will be .accented. Dr R. F. T. Grace (Wellington) has lately pone back to Edinburgh to do post graduate work. He returned to New Zealand recently. whither he went for respite before undertaking his present studies. Dr IT. K. Corkill (Wellington), who is still at St. bonis, U.S.A.. doing hospital work, is expected back in Edinburgh in October. Mr F. W. Long and Mr F. Wallace AfaeKon/io (both of Auckland) are preparing for their finals, while Air IT. M. Shenkiu (Auckland) is studying for his second professional examination, for which ho is due to sit in July, his subjects being anatomy and physiology. Air M Bassett (Christchurch) is well on in his fourth year. ATessrs lan B. Ewart and A. L. Young (Wellington) are both working for their third professional examination in pathology, materia medica. and (heranenticp. Air I. 1 IT. AlT,ean (Dunedin) is now doing research work at fit. Alary’s Hosnital. London. lie was at Edinburgh until the end of last year. Dr B. C. .T. Kitchen (Wanganui) lately left Edinburgh for N*nv Zealand, going nut ns ship’s medical officer. Another Edinburgh student who recently graduated is Air E. W. C. dobson (Hawera).
