DUTCH NEW GUINEA
GERMAN EXPLOITATION-. LONDON, May 22. Some am easiness was felt in the Netherlands in February last when it was announced that a group of Gormans from German New Guinea, was founding a company to exploit Dutch West and North •ew Gminea, a territory as largo a® Holland. Thn Amsterdam correspondent of the Morning Post states that Dr Fock, the Governor-General, in opening the Dutch People's Council, said there was no question of giving concessions for vast areas in Now Guinea, or of giving legal competences to the concessionaries, but aid would be given to people, who earnestly aimed at developing the territory. The Dutch press approves of Dr Dock’s declaration.
