WESTERN SAMOA.
LEASE OF CROWN ESTATES. FIVE TENDERS RECEIVED. (From Oob Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Juno 11. Five tenders have boon received for the leases of Grown estates in Samoa. Throe of these come from Great Britain, one from Australia, and one from New Zealand. This response is regarded by the Department of External Affairs as Satisfactory. Tho details are being submitted to the Hoard of Management of the Crown Estates in Western Samoa, and on receipt of its advice the Government will lot the estates for a term of 40 years. In each ease a revolution will take place at the end of the first 20 years.
