FEWER MARRIAGES, (From Ou.ti Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON. March 31. The most striking feature of the vital statistics for the throe rnomhlv period, which ends to-dav. is a fall in the number of marriages recorded, 2DI. as compared with 554 for the corresponding quarter last year. The decrease is also noticeable in the comparative figures for (he month of March. The births arc also fewer in number than last year. The figures for the quarter arc as follows : 1923. 1924.
