■ The Mayor (Mr H. L. Tapley) was a passenger by the second express on Saturday on a short visit to Timaru. Bishop Richards was a passenger for the north by the second express on Saturday on a pastoral visit to Kurow. Mr C. E. Robertson, of Wright, Stephenson, and Co. (Ltd.), was 1 a passenger for the north by the second express on Saturday Mr A. S. Cookson returned to Dunedin from Christchurch on Saturday. Mr K. A. Anderson was a through passenger by the express from Invercargill on Saturday. Mr John T. Hawke, M.A.. has been appointed first assistant at the Musselburgh School. He was cycling along Forth street against a henw wind, when he collapsed and died while being conveved to the hospital. Moller. aged 76 vears. a well-known resident of Itavenshourne Mm Moiier Was bom in Little Yarmouth and came to Dunedin as far back n 3 1859. Here she married Mr Carl Moller. a manufacturing jeweller, who predeceased her bv 20 years. Mrs Moller was the mother of five sons, all of whom are living, and eight daughters, of whom five, are living; She has a sister in Dunedin. Mrs Robert Brice, and a brother in Wellington. Mr George Norton, a well-known boatbuildcr. The Hospital Committee of the Otago Hospital Board has' granted permission to the - -head : gardener (Mr F. H. Hollingworth) to accept an appointment as a member of the Horticultural and Landscape Committee of Hie New Zealand and South Seas' Exhibition Company, and a letter of congratulation has been sent to Mr Rolling, worth on his appointment thereto.
