PRINCESS THEATRE.

It is said that the new Stiffy and Mo 7eyue for the initial presentation at the - Princess Theatre to-night is replete with novelty and splendour. It is a piece with snowy Eastern setting and flavour, entitled •‘ln the Harem.” The story arises from the embassy despatched by a sultan to restock his harem. Stiffy and Mo are caught in the poten'a-te’s net and transported to his palace, where their escapades form the pivot of over an hour’s fun. Dan Dunbar appears as the Sultan, Queenie Paulas the harem favourite, Fatinia, Gladys Shaw as • deserted wife', and Peter Brocks, Mike Connors. and Keith Connolly as travellers to tuo East; while the .admirable ballet as slave girls contribute largely to the success of the show. On the vaudeville side on Monday, Signor Co.scia and Signora Coelho, those tine Italian artists, will present, a full'new programme, as will the favourites Will Hastings urn: l.es Wharton. On Tuesday evening one of the biggest headline acts the firm has brought over will appear in the persons of Linn Smith’s Royal Jazz Hand, this remarkable troupe, organised by Sir Benjamin Fuller in Australia to show that the commonwealth can outdo tho Republic on its own chosen field of syncopation, is said to demonstrate; all that and more. It provides alii the bizarre and outlandish features of jazz,- while yet remaining a band whose prime production is music.
