E. Prater, A Irving, E. M'Leod, Ja. W. Rowntree, S. G. Smith, E. C. Snedden, and H. Wilson, with i-,. Gillespie as emergency. OTAGO ASSOCIATION. The weekly meeting of the Otago Cricket Association was held last night, the president (Mr G. Martin) in tire chair. On behalf of the Country Week Committee, Mr C. Todd recommended that the dates be the same as last year —January 10 or 11. It was recommended that Oamaru, being too strong, should be left out of the competition, but on the last day three men from Oamaru and two from each of the country clubs should constitute a team. Ho did not think there would be any difficulty in obtaining four town teams. —The report was adopted. It was decided, to direct the attention of Albion to tire fact that H. E. Harraway, who last year had played First Grade for Carisbrook, had played in a Second Grade match for Albion while' not in possession of a transfer. The matter was raised by a letter from Carisbrook. —Some discussion fook place on the matter, it eventually being decided, on the motion of Mr Todd, that the match in which Harraway played be awarded to the Grange Club. The New Zealand Cricket Council forwarded particulars of its scheme for improving its finances through honorary membership, and asked that names in Otago should be suggested.—Mir Todd said that in tbe meantime they should be more concerned with strengthening the finances of the local association than the council. In the event of an appeal for a special cause the Otago Association would be prepared to do its part.—lt was decided to leave the matter to the president and secretary. No definite reply, the secretary reported, bad been received from the Southland Association to the invitation to send a team to play in Dunedin at Christmas time. The Canterbury Association wrote asking if a veterans’ team could be sent to Christchurch to play on December 24. — The Secretary adviced that 11 ex-representative players were prepared to make the trip, and it was decided to accept the invitation. St. Kilda Club protested against the “unsportsmanlike attitude” of the High School team in not closing its innings until 5.45 p.m—Received. A deputation from the Schools’ Sports’ Association asked the association to increase its- donation as much as possible. Ho explained that this week-end two boys’ teams were to bo sent to Southland, but the Cricket Committee’s finances were so weak that there was a . nosaibilitv that the axTaugemen'ts would he cancelled.—After the deputation had withdrawn it was decided to increase the donation of £3 3s to £5 ss.
