Tomkins, a wealthy Milwaukee manufacturer, has confessed to the murder of his wife. The detective found a woman’s torso in a sack hidden among ferns in a ravine. When confronted with the remains Tomkins broke down, and detailed how he had choked his wife to death, cut off her head, and burnt it n a furnace. He carried the remainder of the dismembered body in a motor car to a ravine.—Sydney Sun Cable.
