EXHIBITION DIRECTORS.

A meeting of the directors of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition Company was held at the company’s offices in the Express Company’s buildings yesterday afternoon. Mr C. Speight presided, and there were also present Mcsssrs C. Todd, W. R. Hayward, A. Barnett, H. F. Sincock, and P. Barr. The Secretary submitted a draft of a letter to he sent to the Prime Minister asking the Government to extend official approval and recognition to the Exhibition and to assist in advertising it abroad. The Chauman pointed out that such a hall mark was necessary, and it was agreed to forward the letter as read. A draft was submitted of a letter to the High Commissioner stating that it was probablei that the company wou.ld require file services of a manager for the Exhibition and asking the High Commissioner’s assistance in making preliminary inquiries. It was suggested that Hr A. F. Roberts. New Zealand Commissioner to the .British Empire Exhibition, would confer with the directors before leaving New Zealand and afterwards discuss the matter with the High Commissiieier.--The draft was approved. The lion, secretary of the Institute of Architects wrote forwarding various offers and suggestions regarding the architectural work of the Exhibition, and Mr R. b. Free Brown wrote on some of its engineering problems.— ft was decided to hold over both letters for consideration at a fuller meeting of directors.
