CITIZENS’ GARDEN FETE.

ANNUAL REDOUT, Tho following are the salient features of the animal report, of the Dunedin Citizens’ Garden Fete Society for the past year: —- Tho past, year proved a most successful one, despite the fact that the fete had to be postponed from its original date until the following Saturday, owing to the> weather, Which caused additional expenses. Notwithstanding this, the fete proved vtrV satisfactory, and the committee was emibeld to hand the City Council £525 lo bo expended on work ou the various reserves. The committee tenders its thanks to those who assisted on tho various stalls and sideshows, and congratulates them on the complete arrangements made. It trusts that in tho coming year they would again have the ■Whole-hearted support of the athletic bodies, and that the next fete will prove even more successful than any yet held. It is with regret that the committee had to record the death of Mr M'Alillan. who was associated with the society since its inception, and took a keen interest in the welfare of the society right tip to his death. There still remains plenty of work fq be done in connection with tho recreation reserves. - and it is hoped tho various athletic bodies will cordially support the society in its future efforts, and that (hey will one and all assist in making the nest fete the most successful yet held.
