MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Tuesday, October 23. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) Judgment was given for plaintiffs in the following undefended cases:—John Chambers and Son (Ltd.) v. John Gordon, Peter Gordon, and William M’Kcnney (all of Palmerston), claim £73 6s 7d for goods supplied (costs £5 5s 6d); Reddells (Ltd.) v, John Ford (Rowan), claim £2 8s 6d for goods supplied (costs £1 9s 6d); Neill and Co. (Ltd.) v. William Meffan 'Morton Mains), claim £143 14s lid for goods supplied (costs £7 11s 6d). Judgment Summonses.—Bernard Pimley was ordered to pay Frank Ayson (Mr W L. Moore) 15s 2d, being balance of claim of £4 15s 2d (costs 6s), in default 48 hours’ imprisonment. There was no appearance of the judgment debtor.—The City Drapery Store (Mr B. S. Irwin) proceeded against Charles Reeves for payment of the sum of £5 10s, being balance duo on a suit of clothes. —Defendant, in evidence, stated that his wages were £4 3s 7d ner week. Ho lived by himself and paid 7s 6d per week rent. The order was varied tc 5s per week.
