Messrs Dalgety and Co. report having received the following cablegram from their head office, dated London, October 11: At the tallow sales 1190 casks tallow were offered, and 190 casks sold. Alutton tallow firm; scarcely any demand for low and inferior qualities, nominally 6d per cwt. lower. LONDON WHEAT MARKET. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, October 10. A meeting of members of the Otago Mutual Starr-Bowkett Society was held last evening at the secretary’s (Mr H. F. Ai. Mercer) office for the purpose of disposing of two loans of £SOO each. Air AV. H. Adams (chairman of directors) presided. The premium loan of £SOO at 2 per cent, in the No. 2 group was drawn by cluster No. 156. The free loan of £SOO in the No. 3 group was drawn by cluster No. 2, held by one member. A number of shares in the No. 3 group have been taken up since last meeting.
