TARIFF RELATIONSHIPS. Proas Association—By Telwrraph— Onowright OTTAWA, October 9. The action of President Cooliclge in ordering an innuiry into the proposal to increase the duty on wheat from Canada is being closely watched here. The attitude of official circles is that the United States is free to alter its own tariff to suit its own interests, and the Canadian Government will consider itself similarly free'to frame a tariff to conserve interests of the dominion.—A. and N.Z.
