AN ESCAPED PRISONER
YOUTHFUL CRIMINAL AT LARGE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, June 25. Early last week a youth named Baker escaped from Castlemaino Reformatory, taking with, him the Governor’s horse. Ho secured a suit of clothes and burnt his prison garb. Since then he is reported to have entered a house and stolen money and jewellery to the value of £27. He also secured a nea rifle. The police are tracking him towards the rough Murray country.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
