TRAMCAR SMASH
NUMBER OF PASSENGERS KILLED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 12. (Received May 13, at 5.5 p.m.) Six people were" killed and 30 injured in a tramcar smash at Churchwell, near Leeds. The car became uncontrollable while descending a hill and crashed into a wall. There were agonising scenes during the rescue. One person was killed outright, and others died en route to the hospital.—A. and N.Z.- Cable.
