At the Magistrate's Court at Aoton last •week (gays our London correspondent, writing on January 26) a woman complained that after 20 years of married life her husband had deserted her for another woman he met on hie way to Now Zealand. He promised to send her £5 a week if she did not go oat to him, and she agreed, but he had not kept up his payments. The magistrate said it was a mutual agreement, and he oould do nothing'. He advised the applicant to go to a higher court. An electric light fixed on a finger-ring worn by factory workers is one means of checking the efficiency of his or her movements.
