Fat Lambs.—There was a yarding of 6100 head. A firm sale eventuated, values being from 9Jd to IOJd. Exporters secured fully four-fifths of the entry. Extra prime realised from 33s 3d to 35s Gd; prime, 23s Gd to 235; medium, 2Gs 6d to 2Ss; light, 23s Gd to 26s 3d. Fat Sheep.—This was the smallest yarding for some years, comprising principally ewes. Store Cattle.—There was a small yarding of mostly bulls and cows. The sale was the best for some time. Three-year-old steers realised £5 ss; two-year-olds, £3 10s; 18months to two-year heifers, £2 10s to £3 ss; good bulls, £4 to £7; small, £3 10s, Dairy Cattle. —The number was within tho limits. The demand was firm for good cows and heifers. Prices showed a hardening tendency, extra good second, third, and fourth calvers bringing £10; medium to good, £( 10s to £8; extra good springing heifers, £lO 10s; medium to good, £4 10s to £8; aged and inferior vows, £2 16s. Vealers.—There was a better market, graziers operating. Good runners brought £1 12s Gd; ordinary from £2 10s to £3 10s; small calves, Gs upwards. Fat Pigs.—Baconors sold better, but porkers were in over-supply and sold easier. Choppers realised from £2 10s to £4; light baconors, £2 17s to £3 ss; heavy, £3 10s to £). The average price per lb was SJd to Gd. Light porkers brought from £2 to £2 4s; heavy porkers from £2 6n to £2 10s. The average price per lb was Gd to 7d, Store Pigs.--There was a keen demand, which improved prices.
