REDUCTIONS FORECASTED. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, January 16. (Received Jan. 16, at 10.30 p.m.) Tho Pall Mall Gazette says that Mr Stanley Baldwin (Chancellor of the Exchequer) is aiming in the Budget for a reduction of income tax by Is and in beer duty by sufficient to reduce the retail price one penny per pint. He will abandon the Corporation Profits Tax, and will make further reductions in postage rates.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
