At the result of evidence given in the Supremo Court in an action to determine the ownership of the racehorse Penniless, which was decided in favour of Mr T, A. C. Fluffing, the Judicial Committee of the Tacapuna Jockey Club found that the entry of tha horse in the Ponui Hurdles and in the Stanley Hurdles at th* November meeting was wrongfully madev and it therefore awarded the Ponui Hurdles to Wharepoa 1, Narrowneck 2, and Mimiwhangata 3. In the Stanley Hurdles Miss Melva was awarded third place. The court gave its judgment on December 5.
