CALCUTTA SWEEP
NEW REGULATIONS. OPERATION GREATLY CURTAILED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright DELHI, January 10. The Royal Calcutta Turf Club has made a new arrangement in connection with the Derby Sweep. Its adoption, it is claimed, will restrict participation in the sweep largely to members of the club'. No tickets will be used. Club members wishing to take part will be allotted a number ; * therefore, non-mem i.-re who secure participation through members will not receive any tangible proof of their shape. It is claimed that the new method trill tend to eliminate the widespread sale, of tickets which made the sweep one of the greatest in the world.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
