' (Received Jan. 11, at 8.35 p.m.) Mrs Simon M’Kie, misanthropic but animal loving, has announced that she will bequeath her entire fortune, which is unofficially estimated at 1,000,000 dollars, towards the foundation of an animal hospital, bearing her name, and containing a bust of herself, in which her ashes will be deposited, over the door. There will be a carved inscription : The more I saw of people, the more I thought of dogs.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
