CITY POLICE COURT

Monbay, October 15. (Before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.) Maintenance.—Albert Francis Cameron Duff was proceeded against by nis wife for disobedience of a maintenance order.— Defendant counter-claimed for a reduction in the amount of the order and the remission of arrears. Ho gave evidence that ho was released from gaol on September 15, after serving five months for not keeping up the order, and that another summons ■was issued against him a fortnight later.' He also staled that he could not get work. —The Magistrate reduced the order, with complainant’s consent, to £2 a week, and remitted the arrears except for £lO. The charge of disobedience was struck out.— Thomas Peter Pullarl was the subject of an application for an increase in a maintenance order for the'support of his illegitimate child.—Mr' A. C.
