THE ARABIAN NIGHTS
Of the many famous comedies written by Sydney Grundy, none perhaps has had a greater meed of popularity than ‘‘The Arabian Nights,” which will be produced at His Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday, October 21, 23, and 24, by the Mountebanks. The play is a breezy farcical comedy in three acts, with a welldefined plot, and is brimful of humorous situations and witty dialogue. ‘‘The Mountebanks” is the name adopted by a new combination of local amateurs, amongst whom will bo found several wellestablished favourites, and the responsibility for the whole production is in the capable hands of Mr A. R. Gardner, and Major P. Lampen, as producer and stage manager respectively. The net proceeds will be devoted to local institutions, and the entertainment promises to be of a sufficiently high standard to draw record houses. The box plan will be open at the Bristol to-morrow.
