BIRTHDAY CONGRATULATIONS.
(Pm United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. June 25. The following message has been transmitted by the Governor-General to the Prince of Wales on the occasion of His Royal Highness’s birthday:— I beg to convey to your Royal Highness, on behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand, respectful good wishes on the occasion of your birthday. I also beg to offer respectful congratulations to your Highness on the completion of the tour, which in its influence has been of incalculable benefit to the Empire, though, we fear, arduous to yourself. His Excellency received the following reply from his Royal Highness:— My cordial thanks to the Government and people of New Zealand for their good wishes on the occasion of my return from India and the Far East, and for my birthday.
