LAW OF PROPERTY
A GREAT MEASURE. SIMPLIFICATION, EEFOEM, AND PEOGEESS. Pre«» Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 16. (Received May 16, at 8.5 p.m.) The House of Commons read a second time the Law of Property Bill. The Solicitor-General described it as the biggest bill ever introduced into the House. It facilitates and cheapens dealings .in land, simplifies conveyancing, assimilates real property to personal property, and places women on the same footing as men in regard to succession in the case of intestacy. He paid a tribute to the great skill of the Lord Chancellor, owing to which the Bill was accepted by the law societies and others interested. —A. and N.Z. Cable. '
